At the Seminar on Commodity Market Trading, the chair of the NAUTOR board defined commodity brokers and traders, explained their key differences, and outlined the origins of brokerage and trading activity on the Petersburg Exchange.
Participants learned how a market participant can become a broker, the mandatory conditions for enabling purchase and sale of goods on the exchange on behalf of others, and the broker's responsibilities to the exchange.
The head of the professional association also discussed possible forms of brokerage agreements, the specifics of broker-client relationships, and the Broker Activity Standard on the organized commodity market being developed by NAUTOR.
«NAUTOR members today operate successfully in the main exchange sections, fully within exchange regulations and ethical norms, which ensures transparency, equal access, and minimization of risks on trades», noted Dmitry Mironov.
