Rosatom Infrastructure Solutions (RIS), a division of Rosatom State Corporation, concluded a series of pilot coal purchases for the North Siberian TPP in the Tomsk region. Since June 2026 RIS signed eighteen contracts on the Petersburg Exchange, acquiring a total of over 60,000 tonnes of coal. Following the pilots, the company decided to expand its presence in organized trading.

"We highly value the Petersburg Exchange as a reliable and stable partner, continually improving the mechanisms and tools of exchange trading. The speed, convenience, and technological advancement of solid fuel procurement through organized trading give us confidence in the future of this procurement method," said RIS representative Vladimir Tomiltshev, noting that the Severskaya TPP is among the largest energy facilities in the Tomsk region. The plant can operate on both coal and gas. A comprehensive modernization is nearing completion, creating a closed energy generation cycle; the installation of modern sleeve filters has almost completely eliminated ash emissions during coal firing.

"The Petersburg Exchange is actively working to attract coal buyers from various categories, including state-owned power generation companies purchasing under 223-FZ. Currently, in the Energy Carriers Section there is a marketing period during which participation in trading as a 'trading visitor' is free. We welcome RIS’s entry to the exchange as a fuel purchaser and are pleased that the company values the convenience and efficiency of procurement through exchange trading."
