As part of applying planned improvements to exchange trading mechanisms, the Petersburg Exchange analyzed the buyer base in the Petroleum Products Section and introduced a mechanism to supply gasoline to end consumers; meetings with market participants continue to update the mechanism in line with current market conditions.
To assess and forecast market needs, the Exchange systematically collects planned purchase volumes of gasoline and diesel from participants in exchange trading.
Additionally, the Exchange’s Council of the Petroleum Products Section approved amendments to the Trading Rules regarding the registration of all off-exchange contracts if the goods were acquired on the Exchange. These measures aim to ensure proper turnover of exchange-traded petroleum products within the current legal framework.
