Over 2 million cubic meters of lumber traded on the Petersburg Exchange since the start of 2026

Since the start of 2026, the Petersburg Exchange has traded more than 2 million cubic meters of lumber. As of July 27, the trading volume reached 2,000,438 cubic meters, with turnover totaling 4.18 billion rubles and 5,647 contracts concluded.

The number of registered participants and client participants reached 4,657, up by 308 since the beginning of the year. Leaders by volume were: Krasnoyarsk Krai (819,916 cubic meters); Udmurt Republic (171,621); Vologda Oblast (138,250); Sverdlovsk Oblast (113,904); Tambov Oblast (85,277).

Organized lumber trading involves government bodies, the Federal Penitentiary Service, commercial enterprises, individual entrepreneurs, and educational institutions. Expanding the participant base supports market liquidity, objective pricing, and transparent selling mechanisms.
