Mineral fertilizers play a key role in food security on SPIMEX and are traded in the Petersburg Exchange in the Mineral Raw Materials and Chemical Products section. Mineral fertilizers are rightly considered a strategic commodity because they underpin food security and enable modern agriculture and stable yields.

Trading takes place in the Mineral Raw Materials and Chemical Products section; the exchange launched it in 2017. Since then, the traded volume has exceeded 1.9 million tonnes, with more than 650 participants. Two-thirds of them are small and medium-sized enterprises.

The exchange offers a full range of fertilizers, including ammonium nitrate grade B, urea, ammophos, sulfoammophos, nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizers, and a urea-ammonia mixture. Today, the section registers more than 200 delivery bases across 44 regions. Agrarians can purchase fertilizers with rail delivery to the destination station or by road self-pickup from manufacturers' warehouses. To maximize convenience for farmers, the exchange has launched a new delivery option – 'delivery to the field'. The product is delivered by road transport to any point designated by the buyer within the balance point, with transport costs included in the price. Available VKontakte, Zen, and T-Pulse.
