The total volume of forest products traded on the Petersburg Exchange exceeded 10,000 cubic meters, with turnover of 100 million rubles; 268 contracts were concluded.

Since the start of 2026, the number of contracts for export of forest products to Kazakhstan has risen by 14.5% year-on-year. The traded product is pine sawn timber.

Sergey Kostromin, Head of the Market Development for Forest and Wood Products at the Petersburg Exchange, noted: 'Today, five Kazakh companies are registered on the Exchange. Export timber trading is expanding. This dynamic reflects growing demand for the exchange as a tool for transparent price discovery and support for external markets. Going forward, we plan to attract more participants and increase the range of exchange goods.'
