A seminar titled “Trading on Commodity Markets” was held at the Saint Petersburg Exchange for professors of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, who will lead the joint professional development program “Stock Broker.”

The program is designed to train specialists who will work with modern market instruments and understand the practical mechanisms of commodity markets. Preparation for its launch begins with immersing faculty in real trading processes and the operation of exchange infrastructure.

Artem Lobov, Managing Director of the Saint Petersburg Exchange, presented the practical aspects of organized trading for companies under the 223-FZ framework and discussed the potential for reducing costs in purchases of coal, fuel oil, and diesel fuel.

«Today the market requires new professional competencies in finance and corporate sectors. Educational organizations should provide fundamental knowledge in combination with an understanding of real economic processes. Our collaboration with the Financial University will make training more applied and help develop the skills needed to work with modern market instruments,» emphasized Alexander Miller-man, Vice President of the Saint Petersburg Exchange.
